Hey everyone!

This week was just great.  Finding new people, teaching good lessons, and having good fun.  My first week we taught one lesson and this week we taught 5 member present and 2 other.  It feels great when people come to church and the ward gets behind us. Our zone conference was on owning your area.  In everything you do, own it. Own the members and own every situation and find solutions like you said.  I love that because it's so true! Our goal here is to baptize monthly but we are on the path.

I also spoke in church this week. It was only 5 minutes but it was neat.  I liked the chance for the ward to see me and for the opportunity to have them see my work ethic.  I feel like that is so important.  Also, a lesson cancelled so we had to walk home and our lesson at church was on faith.  We said we have the faith that someone will see us and pick us up.  Like 5 minutes later they pulled up and asked if we needed a ride.  They had just gotten back from this recent converts patriarchal blessing. How cool is that?!?  Haha The Lord works in mysterious ways!

Something else that is cool is I got to reach a Skype lesson to a friend back home!  She got the Book of Mormon app and wants to read it!  It was a cool experience!  Your trip looked like fun and the pictures were great! Have a safe trip home and enjoy your week! Love you all :)

Hey Everybody,

We had a really great week! The work has been slow in this new area but you have to start somewhere. The thing that bugs me is when missionaries leave their area worse then they found them.  I just don't see how that is possible! But, we are finding new people and teaching good lessons and our zone leaders were impressed.  It means we are doing something right.  The whole district is doing well slowly and so that is very good.

This Saturday, we had an opportunity to hear from Elder Ballard, Elder Clayton, and Elder Wong which was super cool!  It was our mission and three others so you can imagine almost 800 missionaries in a room.  The messages were great and I feel like I learned a lot more that I can work on.  I also talked to President Riggs when I saw him.  He told me he expected monthly baptisms from me and I am like whattttt?!  That is going to be so hard!  I really need to increase my faith and get to work.. quick.

The hike and fishing trip looked like a lot of fun! I really got into Chance before I left. Everyone says that he has changed and is great. I know how much he has been through and a mission would really change him for good. I get emails from him often and we talk about things with the mission and life.

It is weird to think that I went into the MTC when school started and now they are getting done. I know it has been a whole school year but time really does fly. This time next year we will be talking about coming home and my plans for life! I have no clue yet what I want to do and what I can do! So many decisions.  I got your pictures by the way and they looked good.  Fun trip!

I love you all.   Send pictures and have fun!  Just not to much fun without me ;-)

Hey Everybody!

The new area is good. The members of the ward have already been so cool and they really enjoy helping us out. They are awesome! The work is slow. Very slow. My companion is Elder Genta and he is from the Boise Idaho area. He is also one transfer behind me just like Elder Johnson was. I think we will get along well. I am glad that he has a strong desire to improve the work as well.

I can't tell you how hard it is to leave people! You think about them and you wonder if they are ok. I really do miss them all. Even the roomates. Elder Adair has been one of my favorite missionaries I have served around and we lived together for almost 5 months! Crazy how time flies.

So yeah, I live in a nice area as you have probably seen. Loudoun County is the richest county in America! Our apartment is like $1700 a month! Crazy right?!  We are on bikes and since there are no bike paths we pray we don't get hit on the roads. There is 8 in our district. All Elders which is cool.

CRAZY STORY!!! Guess who is in my ward now?!?!?! If you remember Swede, Kaylas "friend".  I am serving in his parents ward!!  The dad is the 2nd counselor in the bishopric and we stopped by to meet them and they asked if i had a sister on a mission in Chile!!!  How weird and crazy is that!!!! Oh man, too funny!  She will laugh when she hears about that.

I love hearing about you and the kids! I hope you are having fun and doing great with work!  Be safe and enjoy your week.  I will see you Sunday.  With the Ipad I can do it really whenever.  Let me know when are bad times.
